Daily life and intimate portraits
With paint on canvas, I translate my experiences with the inhabitants of the Boé. Through my paintings, I seek to give voice to their unheard stories and perspectives.
I paint portraits and large-scale everyday scenes of the West African communities with whom I lived and worked to conserve their spiritual forests. For example our conversations about their stories, beliefs and customs under the shade of the mango trees.
I capture my experiences with the aim of stepping back into their world, spending time with them, and giving voice to their unheard stories.
